Information stored on your device only:

• Sleep schedule preferences (bedtime and wake time)
• Selected apps and categories to block
• Sleep goals and personalization choices
• Usage streaks and sleep protection history

This data is stored locally using your device's secure storage and is never transmitted to our servers.

Information processed by Apple:

• App blocking is handled entirely through Apple's Screen Time API (Family Controls framework). We do not access, store, or transmit information about which specific apps you use or how long you use them. All blocking decisions are processed on-device by iOS.

Information collected through third-party services:

• Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used and improve our product. Analytics events include feature usage (e.g., which sleep activities you engage with), onboarding progress, sleep schedule configuration, and subscription events. Firebase assigns a pseudonymous device identifier to distinguish usage patterns but does not collect your name, email, or other personally identifiable information. We do not use this data for advertising or profiling.
• Subscriptions: Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and managed via RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment information (credit card numbers, billing address, etc.). We only receive confirmation of your subscription status.
• Crash reporting: We collect anonymous crash reports to improve app stability. These reports do not contain personal information.

2. How We Use Your Information

The limited information we collect is used to:

• Provide and maintain the sleep protection service
• Verify your subscription status
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Understand general usage patterns to improve the product

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data only with:

• Apple: For processing app blocking through the Screen Time API and handling App Store subscriptions
• RevenueCat: For subscription management (anonymous user identifiers only)
• Firebase (Google): For anonymous analytics and crash reporting

These service providers are bound by their own privacy policies and process data only as necessary to provide their services.

4. Data Security

Your sleep schedule, app selections, and personal preferences are stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage. We do not maintain servers that store your personal data. Analytics data is transmitted securely using industry-standard encryption (TLS).

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Since your personal data is stored on your device, you have full control over it:

• Deleting the app removes all locally stored data, including your sleep preferences, blocked app selections, and streak history
• Anonymous analytics data is retained by Firebase in aggregated form and cannot be traced back to you

6. Children's Privacy

Owl Lock is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
